In late 2020, after working in the insurance industry for nearly a decade as a licensed agent, I made the bold move to pivot my career toward my passion: words. I’ve both written and edited SEO content and am currently working as a writer. While my professional background is in insurance, I have a passion for all areas of personal finance — investing, budgeting, debt, retirement, and especially the FIRE movement. I work for LendingTree and write for ValuePenguin.com. My previous work on Bankrate has been featured in The New York Times, CBS, Huffington Post, Fortune.com, and MarketWatch.

In my spare time, I enjoy attempting (and usually failing) to keep up with my hyperactive dog, growing flowers and food, reading sci-fi and thriller novels, kickboxing, and running.
